Tucked away from the nightlife on Pearl Street, this is always a go-to spot when I’m in the mood for comfort food and a quiet, relaxing evening. Exposed brick walls, local artwork, floor to ceiling wine racks and antique decor make this place seem like it’s an NYC/West Village kind of wine bar. Really cozy and warm, yet chic and classy. Perfect for dinner before or after a show.

First time visiting Hartford and I was looking for a good place to grab dinner. I found that bin228 was not far and had great reviews. Servers were awesome, very kind, and respectful. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area. The bill wasn’t too bad either, very reasonable for the food and service that I got.

This is a perfect spot for a quiet, upscale date night. The servers intentionally give you plenty of time between ordering your wine and each additional course, so don’t go if you are in a rush. It’s a great place to linger over your drinks and small, shareable plates while losing yourself in someone you love spending time with!
